I was recently asked which inspiration and tutorial websites I frequently visit. After showing examples of my favorites I was told to check out Nettuts+.

After deciding to take a look at what’s on offer I have found myself actually spending two hours on the website. There is an absolutely load of information and the tutorials are second to none (they include the source code and a demo in addition to a written description).

Here is the official description of the website

“Nettuts+ is a site aimed at web developers and designers offering tutorials and articles on technologies, skills and techniques to improve how you design and build websites. We cover HTML, CSS, Javascript, CMS’s, PHP and Ruby on Rails.”

Nettuts is primarily a web development website but they also have several sister site which cover allsorts from photography (phototuts) to Illustration (vectortuts). It’s a fantastic site and a precious learning source.
