I came across these designs the other day whilst search through blogs.

In 1962, when Peter Dixon joined the Sainsbury’s Design Studio, a remarkable revolution in packaging design began. His mission was to develop some new designs for its Own Label products.

Although this was way before my time i cant help but admire the designs. I imagine nothing like this had ever been done before and apparently these designs contributed towards the success of Sainsburys and their Own Label brand.
